Not resolved

I ordered a motorguide xi5 with gps ,pinpoint. I received the unit and installed it and when I turned it on the motor sounded like metal grinding.

I called motorguide and they immediately said it was damaged and to contact motorguide factory outlet to have it replaced.after 10 days and five calls to motorguide factory outlet the problem has not been resolved. 3 times I have been told I would be contacted, they never have called. They are liars, and it sounds like the customer service is in India . I told them it's so simple - send a replacement and I will ship the damaged one back.

They want to be *** and not resolve this problem easily, next step is I am contacting the attorney generals office and file a complaint. Motorguide wants to repair it, I didn't buy a brand new product that is submerged in water to have it siloconed back together by someone who makes min wage and doesn't care if it leaks or not.

I will not be purchasing from motorguide or motorguide factory outlet ever again. I will give give a $$$$$$$$$ worth of free (Bad Advertising)

I'm having a problem too. I need some tech support about my motor.

It's a 10 yr. old MG Digital Tour that shuts down after running a few seconds, then restarts after a few seconds. I've been unable to get support from Motorguide, the address isn't recognized, so I can't send them an email! When I look for switches for my motor to order, I can't find schematics for the part numbers to look up!

I'm done with Motorguide, and if I have to buy another motor, it won't be a MG!!!! I have a 1980's Minn-Kota transom mount that I wanted to but a new prop, and nut kit. I found it buy searching the Ser.#, ordered it all within 20 min's., guess who will be getting my business from now on??

I think your problem revolves around Mercury, who now owns Motorguide. I know two cases personally where Merc.

didn't cover warranty issues, one with twin 150 hp outboards on a new boat, the other on a 1 year old 50 hp that came on a Bass Tracker that had faulty cooling passages due to poor castings on that model year engine blocks. The best that guy could do is order another motor that uses a different block.

He got hardly anything for the trade because it was only a parts motor! The guy with the twin 150's traded his for Yamaha's!

Factory outlet customer service , they are rude and not helpful. They lied over and over.

They need to have a class action law suit against them for deceiving customers.

Do not by from any site that has factory on the end of it. They suck.
